Resurrecting competitive paintball in Wellington
With Fielding hosting the most competitive teams in the Lower North Island it’s time Wellington stepped back up to the plate. Paintball Corp has decided to make that happen. We have been working with old team members of the Wolves of Willis and discussing with our team how we can best resurrect competitive paintball in Wellington.
What will it look like?
Starting on February the 19th we will host fortnightly competitive play and training. Our competitive games will start with two ladder comps running every fortnight. Ladder one will be a 1v1 ladder and ladder two will be a 2v2 ladder. From May we will schedule proper 5v5 games. You do not require a team to join in, but it is recommended you find a team of 6 to field in our 5v5 competitions. These events will be open to all ages but recommended for players aged 13 years and older.

marker requirements
We will not have any equipment requirements. If you have no equipment we will supply you with everything for a day fee of $29 which includes 150 paintballs.
What about mechanical vs electric?
Our day fees will include mechanical markers, it’s our expectation that most players will start with a mechanical marker. In term one we will simply say that if a mechanical marker is being used in a game where there is an electrical marker then the player with an electric marker must either conform to using a maximum rate of fire of 3bps or retire their electric marker for the game and use a mechanical marker.
In term two we will split our league into mechanical only and open competition.
Some electric markers are available for rental.
