In order to illuminate glow in the dark paintballs, you need to expose them to UV (Ultra-Violet) light.

Glow in the dark paintballs glow vividly in the first few seconds after illumination, they may dimly glow for hours after using but to get the best results we recommend illuminating them briefly before shooting them.

These LEDs provide light at the maximum wavelength 400nm which means that their conversion from light to glow is very strong. The LEDs are 1 watt and require 3-3.4V to work. This means that 2xAA batteries are perfect and require no additional resistors to ensure that the right voltage is applied.

Please note that most rechargeable AA batteries won’t provide sufficient voltage and we recommend using 3 of them with a resistor.

We install this LED’s in the feedneck of our hoppers so the paintballs will be illuminated just before entering the breach.
